Carbon Capture and Usage by MXenes
نویسندگان
چکیده
Two-dimensional pristine M2X MXenes are proposed as highly active catalytic materials for carbon dioxide (CO2) greenhouse gas conversion into monoxide (CO) on the basis of a multiscale modeling approach, coupling calculations carried out in framework density functional theory and newly developed kinetic phase diagrams. The extremely facile CO2 CO leaves MXene surfaces partially covered by atomic oxygen, recovering its nature posterior catalyst regeneration hydrogen (H2) treatment at high temperatures, with effectively working two-step catalysts reverse water–gas shift reaction.

Carbon Dioxide Capture by Modified UVM-7 Adsorbent
In this study, bimodal meso-porous silica (UVM-7) synthesized and fabricated amino silane modified supports were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption/desorption, transmission electron microscope (TEM), elemental analysis and titration. Capacity of CO2 capture on modified bimodal pore structure silica at 70°C was calculated using breakthrough curves; and it was found th...

متن کاملCapture of bacteria by flexible carbon nanotubes.
Capture of bacteria with flexible carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was done in vitro. Bundles of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) or multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was mixed with Streptococcus mutans. Precipitation assays and colony-forming unit formation assays showed free S. mutans in the solution was significantly decreased by the addition of the CNTs. Observation of the precipitate by...
